Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

When Weekly Therapy Isn't Enough, We're Here to Help.

Sometimes life becomes overwhelming in ways that make weekly therapy feel like it isn't providing enough support, but that doesn't necessarily mean you need inpatient hospitalization.

A small, supportive therapy group participating in an intensive outpatient program.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for individuals who would benefit from a higher level of care while continuing to live at home, work, attend school, and remain connected to their everyday lives.

At Healed Phoenix Behavioral Health, our trauma informed IOP provides a structured, supportive environment where individuals can strengthen coping skills, improve emotional wellness, build healthy relationships, and move toward lasting recovery and resilience.

What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?

An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured behavioral health program that offers multiple therapeutic services each week, including group therapy, individual therapy, psychiatric support when appropriate, and skills development.

IOP provides more support than traditional outpatient therapy while allowing participants to maintain many of their daily responsibilities.

Our goal is to help individuals stabilize symptoms, develop practical coping strategies, and build a strong foundation for long-term wellness through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Who May Benefit from IOP?

Our program may be appropriate for individuals who:

  • Need more support than weekly therapy alone
  • Are experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or mood-related challenges
  • Are having difficulty managing daily stressors
  • Are transitioning from a higher level of care
  • Want to strengthen coping skills and emotional regulation
  • Could benefit from increased structure and therapeutic support while remaining in their community

What to Expect

The best way to determine whether IOP is the right level of care is through a comprehensive assessment with one of our providers. Give us a call today.

Our Approach

Healing isn't about simply managing symptoms, it's about helping individuals build meaningful, fulfilling lives. Our trauma informed, person-centered approach focuses on understanding the whole person rather than just a diagnosis. We combine evidence based practices with compassionate care to help participants develop practical tools they can continue using long after completing the program. Whether you're rebuilding after a difficult season, working through emotional challenges, or seeking greater stability, our team is here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
